All Natural Lupus Support

doTERRA Essetial Oil Support For

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a long-term autoimmune disorder that may affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and other organs.

SLE is much more common in women than men. It may occur at any age, but appears most often in people between the ages of 10 and 50. African Americans and Asians are affected more often than people from other races.

SLE may also be caused by certain drugs. For information on this cause, see Drug-induced lupus erythematosus

Those with Lupus have noticed:

Symptoms vary from person to person, and may come and go. Almost everyone with SLE has joint pain and swelling. Some develop arthritis. Frequently affected joints are the fingers, hands, wrists, and knees.

Other common issues reported:

Chest pain when taking a deep breath, Fatigue, Fever with no other cause, Hair loss, Mouth sores, Sensitivity to sunlight, Swollen lymph nodes, Skin rash — (a “butterfly” rash over the cheeks and bridge of the nose affects about half of people with SLE. The rash gets worse in sunlight. The rash may also be widespread), General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling.

Other issues depend on what part of the body is affected:

Brain and nervous system: headaches, numbness, tingling, seizures, vision problems, personality changes

Digestive tract: abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting

Heart: abnormal heart rhythms

Lung: coughing up blood and difficulty breathing

Skin: patchy skin color, fingers that change color when cold

Some patients only have skin conditions. This is called discoid lupus.

This is very dear to my heart. I recently lost a friend to Lupus. She died before I had a chance to share with her this support option… Please don’t wait to try alternative healthcare options like this before its too late.

doTERRA Essential Oils work perfectly with the body to support normal functions of the body and dōTERRA products are safe to use on all ages.

Essential Oil Support For Celiac (gluten intolerance)

doTERRA Essential Oil Support for:

Celiac Disease

(Gluten Intolerance)

Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease wherein the body mistakenly attacks gluten and other proteins found in grains that are in the digestive tract.  Celiac disease is genetic and can develop at any age in life from infancy to adulthood.  What occurs is as foods with gluten are eaten the body produces antibodies to attack the gluten but these antibodies then mistakenly attack the lining of the small intestines.  This damage to the intestinal lining includes the villi that are responsible to absorb nutrients and begin their delivery to other body systems.  The nutrients particularly affected are fats, calcium, iron, and folate (folic acid or vitamin B9).

With deficiency in these nutrients a number of issues emerge that vary from individual to individual with the disease.  These issues include:

·  Abdominal pain and bloating

·  Indigestion, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting

·  Fatty stools (pale, large, bad odor, floating)

·  Decreased (or increased) appetite

·  Lactose intolerance

·  Weight loss, growth problems in children

Some issues are not associated with the digestive system:

·  Dermatitis herpetiformis (a skin rash)

·  Anemia (iron deficiency), fatigue

·  Missed menstrual periods

·  Muscle cramps, joint and bone pain

·  Sores in mouth

·  Seizures

·  Easily bruising, nose bleeds

·  Dental discoloration, hair loss

·  Nutrient deficiencies, malnutrition

Beyond physical symptoms depression, irritability, and behavioral changes can accompany the difficulties in diagnosing and dealing with this disease.

Celiac has been reported to be triggered by trauma after surgery, childbirth, stress, and even viral infection.

doTERRA Essential Oils work perfectly with the body to support normal functions of the body and dōTERRA products are safe to use on all ages

I’m certainly no expert, but as someone who suffered from anemia my whole life, without knowing why until a year ago, I will gladly share my experience.  I was finally diagnosed with celiac disease last February when I learned that 8 months into my pregnancy my iron was so low they were worried I might need a transfusion.  Fortunately, I didn’t, but it still has been a tough battle to regain my strength.  I think that taking the gluten out of my diet was a good first step, but it wasn’t the only thing. I really didn’t begin to notice a difference until I went on the LLW (Life Long Vitality Supplements) last summer.  At the time I started on the LLW I was desperate.  Between the low iron levels and the hormones after having a baby, I had lost so much hair and nothing was growing back in.  I was embarrassed to leave the house.  I was dealing with a lot of depression, joint pain and just over all tired all the time.  I felt a lot older than my 37 years, and I really wanted  something that would give me my life back.  I literally only made it through the day by consuming 100+ ounces of caffeinated soda every single day.  That is a staggering amount, when I look back!

I was introduced to DoTerra in July and immediately joined.  I was mostly interested in it for helping my kids, but gradually I began to see how the products could help me.  I started on the LLW in August and even though I’m not perfectly consistent, I do take them pretty often.  In September, I completely, cold turkey went off caffeine and it was about 4 miserable days, but so worth it!  I have continued to use the oils and to change my diet.  I am almost completely on a whole foods diet, eating everything fresh and when possible-raw.  I am a whole new person.  My hair came back in thicker than ever, my nails are long and strong (which I haven’t experienced in years)  I have energy and look forward to each day.  My depression, for the most part is gone and a month after starting on the LLW, I was able to go completely off the anti-deppressant my OBGYN put me on after the birth of my son.

Sorry for the novel, but I guess, I could sum it up to first, try to find out what might be causing the anemia.  And second, use the LLW and modify the diet.  I haven’t had my levels retested, but I feel 110% better!  So, something must be going right!  Good luck!

Amazing Benefits of Coriander

Doterra Essential Oil

Coriander Essential Oil
Coriandrum sativum

Popular across many cultures for various uses, Coriander essential oil is extracted from the seed of the coriander plant. Coriander’s healthful therapeutic benefits, which can be attributed to its extremely high linalool content, range from digestive support to supporting a healthy insulin response.

For aromatic, topical, or internal use.

Historical Uses: Chinese culture has used coriander for piles, dysentery, nausea, toothache, measles and painful hernias.

The Chinese incorporated Coriander into their medical practice as long ago as 207 B.C.E. and believed that Coriander could bestow IMMORTALITY.

In India, Coriander was a remedy for constipation and insomnia, as well as for easing the pain of childbirth. Women consumed the seeds regularly to promote fertility. During the Elizabethan era, candy coated coriander seeds were served as a sweet after meals and to guard against gas. Coriander is also a natural deodorant

Possible Uses: Coriander essential oil may  help with arthritis, anorexia, colic, colds, digestive spasms, diarrhea, flatulence, dyspepsia, gout, flu, general infections, migraine, measles, nausea, muscular aches and pains, neuralgia, nervous exhaustion, poor circulation, piles, rheumatism, oily skin and stiffness. It may help control pain related to menstruation.

Many individuals who have been diagnosed with diabetes benefit from ingesting Coriander on a regular basis. Patients have reported when acute stress or sustained tension starts a high ―sugar‖ response – applying Coriander directly over Pancreas and Stomach mitigates the symptoms (profuse sweating, dizziness, disorientation, etc.) almost immediately.

Coriander is a circulatory stimulant and encourages the release of toxins from the body, thereby improving conditions such as arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, gout, rheumatism and a sluggish lymph system.

Properties: analgesic, antibacterial, anti-depressive, antifungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory (topical application) antioxidant, anti-rheumatic, antispasmodic, stimulant (cardiac, circulatory, nervous systems)

Mental Benefits: Can provide a calming influence to those suffering from shock or fear when diffused into the area. Can be stimulating to those who are suffering from low energy when diffused. Comforts the intellect and uplifts the mind benefiting those who are both worried and emotionally bereft.

It improves memory and mental functions. It promotes Happiness and Joy by reducing worry. This is considered a protective oil and helps to increase feelings of spontaneity and passion and seeks to achieve stability without denying Joy. Coriander seed oil is ideally suited, therefore, to complex, creative individuals who find it difficult to cope with predictability and routine.

How to use:

  • Topically – Can be applied neat to skin at reflex points and/or directly to area of concern.
  • Aromatically – Diffuse.
  • Internally – Categorized as GRAS for human consumption by the FDA.

The aroma is soothing to some and may be used for its soothing properties by diffusion. Consider as a rotation oil used with other oils to add variety for not only the aromatic benefit but the antibacterial properties as well.

It may be applied directly (neat) for help with muscle pain or for rheumatism and directly on the abdomen or back for digestive difficulties. For digestive difficulties, it may be taken internally mixed with water or other liquids with honey or agave added to sweeten the taste.

I gave birth to my third baby a little while ago and it was a wonderful experience. The labor and delivery went wonderful. I used clary sage and lavender during labor, and after birth to relax me, help soothe the contractions. I had my baby in the hospital, and it was so wonderful to have my oils along with me. I definitely believe in the use of modern medicine, but if I can take care of something myself first…by all means I would much rather do it. Especially with something that is natural, has no side effects and is beneficial for my body.
It was so nice, in the middle of the nightwhen I was in pain because my uterus was contracting back down, I didn’t have to call a nurse to give me medication. I could just rub Lavender and Clary sage on my lower abdomen and lower back. The nurses would come in and say, “oh, it smells so good in here.”
It was also quite nice that I could tell my doctor I didn’t need any prescriptions. I went home, enjoyed my baby and didn’t have any of the negative side effects that pain medication usually give me.
One of my favorite things to do following childbirth was to take a bath each night. I would put several drops of Lavender and Clary Sage in the tub. It was just the thing I needed, it was very soothing and relaxing. It helped with the anxiety of having my third baby and dealing with two other active children all day. I know this really helped me to not get the baby blues-doTERRA has helped me in so many ways!

I just wanted to write to tell you of my latest experience with doTERRA’S essential oils.

My 7 year old daughter is prone to bladder infections. Well, about 3 months ago she
had a bubble bath and got one. So I looked in the Modern Essential’s book and it said to apply a warm compress with Cinnamon. I didn’t have it as I loaned it out so I used Cassia (very similar oil) and it worked like a charm! I also made a rollerball up with Lemongrass and Purify as is also suggested. The bladder infection was gone in just 2 days. Then just 3 days ago the same thing happened… Kids got bubble bath for Christmas, put lots in the bath and bam! Next day she had a bladder infection so again I did the Cassia warm compress on her abdomen and the roller ball with Lemongrass and Purify with fractionated coconut oil. Worked great again! Thank you doTERRA!

-Susan Crivac

As a sufferer of Crohn’s Disease for over 20 years, I have found that a capsule of 2 drops of DigestZen and 2 drops of frankincense makes a world of difference in the pain level that I feel on a daily basis.

I have also found that using cassia, DigestZen, and peppermint externally can help with the pain as well.

I also drink a peppermint tea (4 cups water, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 drop peppermint – work on it until you get your taste right) everyday that helps me with my Crohns.

  • Avoid during pregnancy.
  • Repeated use can cause extreme skin irritation.
  • Diffuse with caution; it will irritate the nasal membranes if it is inhaled directly from the diffuser.

All Natural Acid Reflux Support

DoTerra Essential Oil Support For:

Acid Reflux / Heartburn

Gastroesophageal reflux disease, commonly referred to as GERD or acid reflux, is a condition in which the liquid content of the stomach regurgitates (backs up or refluxes) into the esophagus. The liquid can inflame and damage the lining  of the esophagus although visible signs of inflammation occur in a minority of patients.

The  liquid usually contains acid and pepsin that are produced by the stomach. (Pepsin is an enzyme that begins the digestion of proteins in the stomach.)

GERD is a chronic condition. Once it begins, it usually is life-long

The risk factors for reflux include hiatal hernia (a condition in which part of the stomach moves above the diaphragm, which is the muscle that separates the chest and abdominal cavities), pregnancy, and scleroderma.

Obesity, cigarettes, and possibly alcohol also increase the chance of GERD.

Heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux can be brought on or worsened by pregnancy and many different medications.

Such drugs include:

Anticholinergics – Beta-blockers – Bronchodilators – Calcium channel blockers – Dopamine-active drugs – Progestin – Sedatives – Tricyclic antidepressants

More common issues are:

  • Feeling that food may be left trapped behind the breastbone
  • Heartburn or a burning pain in the chest (under the breastbone)
    • Increased by bending, stooping, lying down, or eating
    • More likely or worse at night
    • Relieved by antacids
  • Nausea after eating
