  1. Is there anything you could substitute eucalyptus with? I am currently out of it.

  2. I would like to know who lost the 6 “.

    • I lost 4.5 not trying too hard

  3. I wouldn’t wrap in Plastic wrap. Essential Oils break down Petrochemicals! Plastic is a petrochemical product. Not Good!!!
Why do you think we don’t drink the essential oils out of plastic containers? Why do you advise putting the oils in a “Glass Spray Bottle”, but then instruct your readers to wrap themselves in “Plastic” and then for several hours to sweat with open pores? Not Good.
    Think about it.

    • Hey Tracey – great points! The oils that break down the Petrochemicals are the citrus oils (in this case would be the Grapefruit and the Lemon & Grapefruit in the Slim & Sassy blend) since they will be diluted with other oils and will be quickly dissolving into the skin, there isn’t need for concern as the break down process would be greatly slowed. This is also part of the reason why the OnGuard Concentrate Cleaner comes in a plastic bottle, even though it has some Wild Orange in it. But drinking the Lemon oil before & after the wrap helps flush out any potential petrochemicals in your system. This wrap actually was created by a holistic doctor with 22 years essential oil experience and is one of the original doTERRA consultants. I do trust his judgement as he hasn’t steered we wrong yet! :-)

      • what i have been told is to wrap in cheese cloth 1st and then wrap in saran wrap. i think saran wrap right against my skin would drive me crazy anyways so i like the idea og wrapping in cheesecloth and then saran wrap:) aso i am glad you said who made this recipe because i am always hesitant to mix up my own without knowing the science behind it, but now that i read what you said about who made it i will definately be using it!!!

  4. There are alternatives to wrapping in plastic. Wrapping in a cotton muslin sheet and then a wool blanket is a more natural and a healthier option. The same results can be achieved by insuring the body warms to the point of perspiration. There are different qualities of plastics. The plastic doTERRA uses for bottling their oils is a plastic that holds up better to the oils and of course the oils are in a diluted state. Plastic wrap breaks down very easily. I am a Bodywork Educator with over 20 years experience in the field and that many years spent working with essential oils. I developed Body Wrap treatments for health and the spa industry and taught Hydrotherapy and Spa Treatments in Massage Therapy Schools. Yes, drinking water with Lemon Essential Oil will help detox the body of the petrochemicals, but why even introduce them however remote the possibility. It’s important that people know results can be achieved with a natural, healthier alternative to the plastic. Thanks

    • could i use cheesecloth rather than the cotton muslin? is it the same thing?? what is cooton muslin and where do i get it? also, would you wrap a small piece of wool only around the area being wrapped or would you wrap up in a wool blanket?

    • What about the elastic bandages that are used in wraps , we use them for universal contour wrap , would the essential oils damage
      the bandages ?

  5. Are the results immediate / overnight? How often can you do these?

  6. Is the grapeseed oil necessary or can I just use FCO?

  7. My hubby did it and he lost 6 lbs overnight! He didn’t lose so much in inches (2). After the holidays I weighed him again and he was still down 5lbs. This was 3 weeks after his wrap. So I’m here to tell ya it really works for the long term.

  8. What about using a cotton cloth like an old sheet or equivalent and then to hold in the head wrap the plastic over the cotton cloth?

  9. I did this wrap and lost 2.5 inches and 3 pounds. I do believe in Doterra and I am on my way to being back to a healthy woman

  10. Is this recipe meant for 1 application or several????

  11. Sounds like an awesome wrap recipe! I will give it a try. Thanks Tracy!

  12. Are these permenant or even semi permenant results? I plan ok workimgnout as well. But was just curious.

  14. How much of the mix do you use or spray on at one time? How often should you do it? Can you substitute fractionated coconut oil for the grapeseed oil?

  15. Great ideas, except for the wool recommendation. Not everyone can do wool. I have tried wearing thick shirts under wool sweaters, and I still break out!

  16. I was just wondering how often this can be done? And how much of the mixture do you apply to your mid-section? I know it is 4 oz but do you use the whole 4 oz or just apply until you are well coated? Thanks

  17. how often can you wrap?

  18. Are the wraps safe for nursing mothers and their babies? Can toxins be distributed into the breast milk?

  19. yes how ofte can this be done, and can i use fractionated coconut oil or olive oil or does it have to be the grapeseed oil???

    • you can do it as often as you like however personally I would wait a couple weeks between at least. fractionated coconut oil will work as well

  20. How often can this wrap be done. Is there a time limit between wraps?
